Career Enhancement Sessions, Consultations Featured During 2011 NAB Show Career Day

Washington, DC -- The NAB Education Foundation (NABEF) announced today the session line-up and consulting services to be featured during the Foundation’s annual Career Day, held in the Las Vegas Hilton Ballroom C from 9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13 at the 2011 NAB Show. Sponsored by Edge Technology Services, Career Day unites experienced professionals, college students and entry-level job seekers with media industry professionals. The event is produced in partnership with the Broadcast Education Association (BEA) and PinkSlip Mixers.

"Career Day unites more than 1,500 job seekers from all backgrounds and experience levels with recruiters from stations across the country," said NABEF President Marcellus Alexander. "We are looking forward to helping these aspiring media professionals attain their career goals through the networking tools and informative sessions provided during this year's Career Day."

"NAB Career Day, during the NAB Show, is one of the 'must-attend' events on the convention calendar," said Nevada Broadcasters Association Vice President Adam Sandler. "No other similar event places such high-level broadcast talent together with local, national and international media companies looking to hire. If you are the best or looking for the best, you need to be there."

Career Day attendees will learn personal branding techniques, how to utilize social media during job searches, tips for beginning a career in broadcasting and discuss the broadcasting jobs of tomorrow during four interactive sessions, held between 10:00a.m. - 3:00p.m. Additionally, job seekers will receive tips and professional style consultations from renowned image consultant Laura Rubeli. There will be networking opportunities available with professionals from a variety of broadcast and media companies, including ABC, Aspera, Inc.; Edge Technology Services; Entercom Communications Corp; Ericsson Television; Gannett Co., Inc.; PBS; Production Hub; Univision and VeriCorder Technology.
