WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The NAB Education Foundation (NABEF) announced the application deadline for the 2014 Broadcast Leadership Training program (BLT) is May 31. The program is designed to prepare senior broadcasters, particularly women and people of color, to own and operate radio and television stations or move into more senior positions within the industry.
The executive MBA style program guides participants through the process of assessing, purchasing, owning and operating radio and television stations. It is taught by senior level broadcast managers, FCC staff, communications attorneys, Wall Street investors and members of the banking community as well as academic faculty from leading universities.
When the 2013 class graduates in June, the BLT program will have 220 alumni, over 50 percent of whom have been promoted one or more times, 34 program graduates who currently own or have owned stations, and numerous others in various stages of station acquisition.
The training will begin in September with meetings one weekend a month for ten months through June. Fellowships are available to women and people of color. For the application and additional information, click here or contact Michelle Duke at 202-429-5361.
